Our ZooKids program at Franklin Park Zoo transforms curiosity into adventure!

We offer a variety of age-appropriate, themed education programs to inspire young children's curiosity and appreciation for wildlife and the natural world. Programs include up-close animal encounters, zoo exploration, games, crafts, and more.

May: Creepy Crawly Critters (Ages 2 - 4, Stone Zoo)

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have six legs? Can you imagine what the world looks like through the eyes of insect? During this ZooKids program, we'll learn all about creepy crawly critters, and what makes us similar and different!

10:00 - 10:45 a.m.

Where: 
An educator will greet you at the front entrance when you arrive. The event takes place in Stone Zoo's Animal Discovery Center (View on map).

Please note: This program is for ages 2-4 and each participant must have an accompanying adult present. Also, be sure to come dressed for the elements as we will be spending time walking around zoo grounds!

May: Turtle Trackers (Ages 3 - 5, Franklin Park Zoo)

Learn about local turtles and become a turtle tracking conservationist. Kids will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo, make a craft, and meet one of our ambassador animals!

Franklin Park Zoo's Tropical Forest Classroom. An educator will greet you at the front of the Tropical Forest building.

Guardians must stay with children during the program.

June: Prowling Predators (Ages 3 - 5, Franklin Park Zoo)

Learn about the Zoo’s different carnivores. Kids will have the opportunity to explore the Zoo, make a craft, and meet one of our ambassador animals!
