School-Year ZooTeens

The School-Year ZooTeen Program engages youth with a sincere interest in wildlife, education and environmental justice in both paid (Boston Youth only) and volunteer positions.

Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year ZooTeen program are closed. We will be releasing an application for the Summer ZooTeen program in mid-March. Fill out our interest form if you'd like to receive updates!

Throughout the year, School-Year ZooTeens participate in a variety of activities, projects and professional development workshops including: presenting educational chats, creating discovery stations, learning to handle ambassador animals, planning and teaching conservation lessons to our vacation-week camp participants, and participating in field conservation projects! Our paid positions are teen educator positions. We have volunteer positions in both education and animal care.
