Tree Giveaway

Get ready to grow something amazing this spring! 🌱 

We’re inviting local residents of all ages from Dorchester, Roxbury and Greater Boston to embrace their inner arborist with a free tree sapling giveaway. In partnership with Neighborhood Forest, we’re helping expand tree canopy across these neighborhoods—one backyard at a time. 

Visit Franklin Park Zoo during Ape-ril School Vacation Week to pick up a sapling between April 22–25, outside the Zoo’s Giraffe Entrance. Our horticulture team will be on hand to share simple tips on planting, care and how to help your new tree thrive.

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or planting your very first tree, it’s a fun and meaningful way to make a lasting impact for our neighborhoods and the environment.
