Caribbean flamingos
Sunday, August 16:
• Franklin Park Zoo will be open for daytime guests. Due to events taking place outside the Zoo, traffic and parking restrictions will be in effect throughout Franklin Park. Circuit Drive will be closed, and barriers may be in place on some roadways. If you encounter a barrier, please identify yourself as a Zoo visitor. Parking will be available in the Zoo’s parking lots, though there may be periods when roads or parking areas are temporarily inaccessible. We strongly encourage the use of public transportation or rideshare when possible.
• Franklin Park Zoo’s Boston Lights evening event will be closed on Sunday, August 16.
We appreciate your patience and understanding!
Caribbean flamingos
Begin your journey to the Caribbean in our walk-through aviary, Flamingo Flats. Here, you’ll be greeted by this striking feathered flamingo flock, scarlet ibis and colorful macaws. Guests have the rare opportunity to see the critically-endangered Jamaican iguana, the island's largest terrestrial vertebrate which was thought to be extinct for decades.
After you flutter through Butterfly Oasis, be sure to stop by the bush dog habitat, the only one in New England!
