Committed to Conservation
This state-of-the-art habitat is a reflection of our commitment to conservation and sustainability. Through our partnership with SANCCOB (Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds), we support efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and protect African penguins and other seabirds in the wild. The habitat also features an energy-efficient geothermal system that helps heat and cool the penguin pool and building throughout the year while reducing environmental impact.
