Group Reservations

Please note that some dates fill quickly and may be unavailable at the time of booking. We are fully booked for group reservations on the following dates:

• FPZ: July 15 - 16, 25 - 26; August 29

Availability is subject to change. We recommend providing a second and third date choice when submitting your request, as additional openings may become available.

General Groups

We offer discounted admission for groups of 10 or more non-members. Group admission is $21.95 per adult and $14.95 per child at Franklin Park Zoo, and $19.95 per adult and $13.95 per child at Stone Zoo. Children under 2 are free. 

A reservation is required and should be made as far in advance as possible. Groups must include at least 10 people, ages 2 and older. Group tickets cannot be purchased online; payment is made together upon entry. For pricing, availability, or questions, please contact our Admissions team at 617-379-5151 or by email.  

Massachusetts School Groups

Our Zoos offer free admission for Massachusetts students in grades K–12, Monday through Friday during the regular school year (September–June). Reservations must be made as far in advance as possible.  

Free field trips are not available for camps, daycares, preschools, after-school programs, or during vacation weeks and holidays. Please refer to the “General Groups” section above for discounted admission options. 

Chaperone Requirements

  • Kindergarten: 1 adult for every 5 students
  • Grades 1–12: 1 adult for every 10 students
  • Required chaperones receive free admission. Standard group rates apply for any additional adults.  
  • Students with special needs who require 1:1 supervision may be accompanied by one adult at no cost.

Nonprofit Groups

501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations can enjoy frequent visits at a discounted group rate of $10 per person (adult and child) at both Zoos. Nonprofit group admission is booked through our group sales department; a minimum of 10 people (ages 2 and older) and a reservation are required. Children under 2 are always free. 

Event Groups

Boston Lights at Franklin Park Zoo

Book a glowing night out at Franklin Park Zoo's Boston Lights with your group and save! Purchase tickets at a discounted rate of $20 per person for groups of 20+ guests. 

  • Tickets are required for all guests. Children under age two are free.
  • Payment is due two weeks in advance, and tickets will be mailed to you via USPS.
  • We are unable to accept purchase orders or provide invoices for payment at a later date.
  • Refunds for overpayments will not be issued and cannot be applied toward future trips.

Group Rules

To ensure your enjoyment of the Zoo, please observe the following rules:

  • One chaperone over the age of 18 is required for every 10 guests.
  • One chaperone for every five preschool children.
  • Chaperones must always stay with their group.
  • Groups must enter from the Zebra entrance. Payment must be made when entering, and all members of the group must enter together. Payment cannot be made in advance.
  • Once admitted, groups may not exit and re-enter.
  • The Zoo does not have public storage facilities, and no items may be left in the care of Zoo employees.
  • Groups in gift shop areas must have chaperone supervision.
  • Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. 

For the safety and comfort of other visitors and Zoo animals, the following are not allowed:

  • Pets (except service animals)
  • Feeding of animals 
  • Horseplay, running, screaming, radios 
  • Bicycles, scooters, roller skates/blades 
  • Balloons, Frisbees, balls, kites, water squirting devices 
  • Alcohol, weapons  

Chaperones are responsible for the children in their care. Any theft or destruction of property will result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law.
