Committed to Conservation
Our Field Conservation Department works with a team of herpetologists to study and protect some of the northernmost populations of the threatened eastern hognose snake in Massachusetts. Research on these snakes at the edge of their range helps conservationists better understand their habitat needs, nesting behavior and population trends, informing future conservation efforts.
